Bloxmith's Raiders Rumble Rocks onto the Flow Blockchain

Player-first Web3 gaming studio, Bloxmith, has launched the beta version of Raiders Rumble, an epic squad-battler strategy game for mobile devices. The title combines the best of traditional and blockchain gaming, allowing both Web2 and Web3 players to participate in PvP tournaments and win amazing prizes.

As of March 13, Raiders Rumble is available on both the Google Play Store and the App Store. Players can join either marketplace and download it to start partaking in various battles. Interestingly, players don’t need a crypto wallet or to buy NFTs to get involved.

Raiders Rumble comes in as a skill-based, fast-paced game that is playable in short sessions. Players gather time-displaced fighters/raiders to participate in battles, which requires a strategic and tactical approach to build the optimal roster of raiders. To gain an advantage in the game, players can enhance their fighters using weapons and armor, thereby increasing the number of combinations they can engage in.

Additionally, NFTs aren’t necessary to unlock in-game functionalities, but collectors will find them valuable depending on their rarity and uniqueness.

Raiders Rumble Bridges Web2 And Web3 Gaming

With Raiders Rumble, Bloxmith aims to bridge the gap between Web3 and Web3 games. This sentiment is shared by Wayne Lee, cofounder and CEO of Bloxmith. In a statement, he notes,

“For our first game, we wanted to pioneer a new type of competitive mobile strategy game that would help bridge the gap between traditional and Web3 gamers. We are delighted to be working on the Flow blockchain – it solves the scalability problem for games and digital collectibles. With frictionless onboarding, social logins and familiar payment methods, Flow is built from the ground up to make it easier for mainstream users and brands to transition from Web2 to Web3.”

Thanks to the ease of accessibility on mobile devices, Raiders Rumble is designed to appeal to the masses. As such, it has partnered with the Flow Blockchain on which it resides to incentivize players by hosting a series of tournaments where gamers will battle it out for the title of top strategist. The tournaments will take place between March 23 and March 31, and top performers will receive a share of a massive prize pool of 120,000 $FLOW tokens.

Rocking and Rolling on the Flow Network

The game itself runs on the Flow blockchain, a high-performance EVM compatible blockchain. Its head of product, Chirag Narang, is quite excited by the collaboration with Bloxmith to bring forth this awesome title. In a statement, he notes,

“Raiders Rumble is a compelling example of a mobile game that can simultaneously appeal to a mainstream audience while introducing them to the power of Web3 gaming powered by Flow (FLOW). The Bloxmith team’s innovative take on game design and player onboarding aligns strongly with Flow’s vision and goals for our ecosystem around gaming and onboarding mainstream users to Web3.”
