Web3 gaming giant Heroes of Mavia has left a substantial mark following its mobile debut on January 31, eclipsing three million downloads globally across iOS and Android platforms in slightly more than a month — 1 million of which were achieved just 6 days post-launch.
Marking its appeal is a significant surge in players across the United States, the Philippines, Turkey, Brazil, Germany, and Indonesia.
Since February 6, Heroes of Mavia has been setting itself apart from the renowned strategy game Clash of Clans by incorporating its native currency, $MAVIA, for in-game governance and enhancements.
Listed on major exchanges like Binance, the $MAVIA token has seen a 22.9% increase in value to $7.52 over the last 24 hours, as per CoinGecko data. Boasting a daily trading volume of $52.15 million and a market cap of $221.83 million, this rapid surge reflects ongoing interest in the game.
Base Boosts Mavia’s Members
Heroes of Mavia’s rapid success follows the heels of its recent integration of Coinbase’s Base on February 27. Base is a secure Layer-2 solution for Ethereum, designed to reduce costs while maintaining Ethereum’s critical features to empower dApps and NFT platforms.
Utilizing Base significantly reduces gas fees on the Heroes of Mavia gaming platform by 10-100x and provides secure onboarding for Mavia users with fiat on/off ramps, DEXs, and connections to Coinbase.
In a recent X post, the team praised Coinbase’s Base as “Fast, secure, and low-cost”, calling it “the ideal solution for supporting Mavia’s rapidly expanding mobile player base.”
In the near future, the Layer-2 rollup is also set to support Mavia’s upcoming Ruby marketplace, which will act as a one-stop shop for players wanting to trade in-game items, like NFTs, and cryptocurrencies.
