Pudgy Penguins has partnered up with Orange Cap Games, a creative game studio, to debut a blockchain-based Trading Card Game (TCG)—alongside a physical version—by this year’s end.
Incubated by Spencer Ventures and crafted alongside TCG champions, the game promises the classic appeal of TCGs while featuring characters from the celebrated NFT series.
As part of its third licensing deal with OverpassIP, Pudgy Penguins invited 200 owners to submit their virtual penguin assets to spotlight on the game’s cards before May 7. All slots were filled within less than eight hours of the announcement.

Behind the Scenes
Chosen Pudgys for the TCG will feature in various art forms: group poses on Action Cards, wielding fishing rods on Rod Cards, or Penguin Cards reflecting their attributes and game mechanics.
Additionally, successful contributors’ NFT artwork may be used in promotional materials for Enter the Huddle—a community-driven ecosystem under the brand. However, due to production complexity and high submission volume, penguins’ visibility isn’t guaranteed.
Rest assured, contributors will receive updates via Discord, and they will be eligible for special edition cards post-release, along with initial compensation for licensing.
Following the game’s recent unveil, Pudgy Penguins NFTs are showing remarkable growth, with a 24-hour trading volume increase of 28.2% to around $3.42 million (1,077 ETH). The average price of a Pudgy asset currently stands at $36,300 (11.46 ETH), as per CoinGecko.
This Pudgy-centric TCG aims to innovate the gaming genre by merging its traditional appeal with cutting-edge blockchain tech, injecting new vitality into the beloved NFT project.
