ApeChain, an Ethereum layer-2 network created by the ApeCoin DAO, has officially launched on Sunday at the ApeFest event in Lisbon.

This launch introduced several new applications, including a trading simulation game called Top Trader, and has been closely linked to a sharp rise in ApeCoin’s price.

The token more than doubled in value following the network’s debut, drawing renewed attention to the Bored Ape Yacht Club ecosystem.

Key Applications and Games

One of the standout applications launched on ApeChain is Top Trader.

A trading simulation game from Yuga Labs, allowing participants to practice high-leverage trading in a virtual environment, with leaderboards and rewards for top performers.

Another notable feature is Ape Express, a platform similar to Pump.fun on Solana, which allows users to create and launch tokens without technical expertise. Several tokens have already gained notable market value through this platform.

What’s next to ApeChain?

Following the launch of ApeChain, ApeCoin’s price increased dramatically, rising from $0.75 to a peak of $1.74. Although the price has since adjusted to around $1.48, this still marks a substantial recovery for the token over the past week.

ApeChain is set to support future projects, including new releases from Yuga Labs and the ApeCoin DAO with upcoming developments include the metaverse game Otherside and Dookey Dash: Unclogged.

Additionally, the DAO has allocated funds to support projects building on ApeChain as part of its broader strategy for ecosystem growth.
