The CyberKongz admins have officially revealed the latest Polygon-based Jungle adventure game, Play & Kollect. This digital experience involves metaverse compatibility, exploration, and new NFT items, much to the fans’ excitement!
How does the CyberKongz game work?
In a very detailed recent post, the CyberKongz team explained the game mechanics for Play & Kollect. Basically, the goal of the game is to redeem Kongium Ore for prizes consisting of NFTs, as well as the seasonal $BANANA prize pool.
In order to do so, players must create crews of up to five CyberKongz VX and send them on a jungle quest to find Kongium Ore. A game season will last 10 days, after which players will be rewarded.
Notably, there are two ways to embark on one such quest:
- Use Fuel Rod to start one adventure per day. Each player gets one such free energy resource per day.
- Pay 0.4 $BANANA for each additional adventure run per CyberKong VX. These tokens will be distributed among the $BANANA prize pool, treasury, and a portion will be burned.
Furthermore, players will also be able to lock their CyberKongz VX in the game’s new Lock Registry. Accordingly, this feature allows users to engage in multiple on-chain games simultaneously while facilitating metaverse access.
Nevertheless, the most interesting upgrade is the Lucy Charms tokens.
About the Lucy Charms tokens
In essence, Lucy Charms are NFT items that enhance the CyberKongz VX crews’ performance. These assets come as ERC-1155 NFTs and they can increase a crew’s loot for five consecutive days!
Players can redeem Lucky Charm NFTs from non-transferable shards yielded by Baby CyberKongz. However, note that a Baby CyberKong can only yield enough shards for a Lucky Charm item every 10 days.
Even so, the effort is definitely worth it. Players can trade Lucky Charm NFTs, gain access to exclusive jungle events, and increase the jungle adventures EXP loot.
Before implementing all of these upgrades, though, the project admins will allow the community to vote in favor / against the update.
Why did the team choose Polygon?
CyberKongz aimed to create an NFT powered game that helps collectors gain new themed digital assets in a fun way. Accordingly, the team used the Polygon network for its transparency, as well as its environmentally-friendly impact:
As a result, Play & Kollect is a “fully on-chain game on the Polygon network with almost no gas fees, 99.95% less in electricity consumption than a Proof-of-Work counterpart and almost no CO2 emissions,” the team said in a statement.
