Square Enix, one of the biggest names in the gaming sector and the company behind such titles as Final Fantasy, has announced a new NFT project. This new project is called Symbiogenesis and will be an Ethereum-based gaming franchise for the company. The announcement was made via Twitter with a teaser video.
Symbiogenesis, as per the official announcement, will be launched in spring 2023 and will be available for both mobile and PC. While some plot details are still being kept under wraps, the game will revolve around the “monopolisation and distribution of resources” and will see players uncover a mystery by completing various missions.
One of the interesting things about this incoming project is that all the characters within it can be collected as NFTs along with Square Enix’s Final Fantasy NFTs. Not only can the characters be used within the game but outside it as well.
“The art can be used for social media profile pictures (PFP) and as a character in a story that takes place in an alternate world where the player can ’untangle’ a mystery by completing missions that revolve around questions of the monopolization and distribution of resources,” a press release says.
