The Cardano-based project will bring a world of musical energy to The Sandbox ecosystem
At The Sandbox, nothing gets us more excited than trailblazing new innovative paths that further the development of the metaverse for all to enjoy. Today, we’re incredibly excited to announce that Clay Nation will be joining our platform as the first-ever Cardano-based project to do so, bringing a fresh audience of web3 participants to our corner of the metaverse!
Bridging the Gap across Chains
Clay Nation is a multi-dimensional clay animation, digital collectible, and metaverse project. The team’s vision is to create an ever-growing, values-driven community that leverages web3 to harness creativity and human connection.
Notably, our partnership will feature the first instance of cross-chain PFP-avatar collection interoperability. This will enable holders of original Clay Nation Cardano NFTs to play with their respective avatars in The Sandbox! Players will be able to craft wearables and other items by collecting in-game resources, as well as purchase them at the in-game merch store.
A World Filled with Wonders
As part of our partnership, Clay Nation — in collaboration with Smobler— is creating The Sonic Sands experience on its 2×2 LAND soon, as well as an additional social hub on a 1×1 LAND for a concert venue. Its goal is to introduce Clay Nation lore to our players, and in doing so, invite all to explore elements of sound, music, and collectibles, such as mushrooms and crystals.
Musical Energy is what moves the Sonic Sands experience. It can be mined, processed, and turned into many other types of energy (mechanical, electric, thermal, etc.). Everything will be made out of clay, offering players a wide array of creative opportunities. To make something out of clay, the player will need:
- Clay (raw material)
- Musical Energy (catalyzer)
- Crystals (energy amplifier)
Outside of exciting new forms of gameplay to experience across 10 quests, Sonic Sands will also feature mini-games and two social spaces: Sonic Sands Central (complete with an NFT gallery, shopping district, and more), and a concert area.
