Both studios are determined to play a pivotal role in accelerating blockchain adoption, with a strong emphasis on the burgeoning Middle East region.
Empowering Blockchain Games Amidst Korean Ban
South Korea’s government has persistently opposed blockchain gaming within its borders since early 2021, exemplified by the ban on Five Stars, a play-to-earn NFT game that was deemed to promote financial speculation.
Nonetheless, Wemade’s Wemix Play platform plays a pivotal role in showcasing a curated selection of blockchain games — such as its MMORPG Legend of Mir series — with a focus on tokenization. Additionally, the company hosts its very own gaming NFT marketplace.
