The Ethereum-based NFT game Apeiron, developed by Foonie Magus, just unveiled its upcoming gaming tournament—‘Apeiron Guild Wars 2024’.
Featuring rogue-lite dungeon card battles with nods to classic god games like ‘Populous‘ and ‘Black & White’, Apeiron offers a fast-paced gaming experience.
Its Apeiron Guild Wars 2024 will begin on May 21, featuring a $1 million prize pool, including USD and coveted NFTs.
Guilds (teams) will engage in fierce competition for dominance until July 2. Then, the exhilarating SEA Invitational will take place from July 11 to 14, followed by the NA Invitational from July 18 to 21.
After these intense online battles, the top 12 Guilds will convene in Hong Kong for the ultimate gaming showdown in Q3 2024, vying for the prestigious prizes.
Apeiron’s Evolution into Competitive Gaming
Backed by an impressive $24 million in seed funding from industry giants like Hashed, Spartan Group, and Morningstar Ventures, Apeiron has garnered significant support for its forthcoming venture.
Guild Wars marks a substantial evolution, signifying Apeiron’s transition from a casual multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) into a dominant force in competitive gaming.
Additionally, the tournament serves as a major milestone following the game’s switch from Polygon to Sky Mavis’ Ronin network in December 2023.
Live matches of the event will be streamed on Apeiron’s official Twitch channel, and various community engagement activities will be conducted on platforms like Discord.
