Animoca Brands Japan, the Japanese subsidiary of the Hong Kong-based web3 company Animoca Brands, announced a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with popular video game publisher Square Enix to support the global marketing of Symbiogenesis, Square Enix’s NFT-based project.
The agreement aims to increase the reach of Symbiogenesis through Animoca Brands Japan’s web3 expertise and its extensive industry connections.
Symbiogenesis is a digital project featuring 10,000 NFT characters, serving as both game assets and avatars for users. The project has a high fantasy theme, and players can use the NFTs to interact with others and progress through storylines and missions.
Boosting Square Enix’s Symbiogenesis Globally
Animoca Brands Japan plans to support the overseas expansion of Symbiogenesis, leveraging its network of over 400 web3 companies. Additionally, the company’s upcoming NFT Launchpad will facilitate Symbiogenesis’s global sales and marketing efforts.
Naoyuki Tamate, Producer of Symbiogenesis at Square Enix, commented on the collaboration, “We are very excited about this initiative and look forward to working with Animoca Brands Japan to bring the Web3 experience to a wider audience in an even more strategic way.”
Kensuke Amo, Chief Operating Officer of Animoca Brands Japan, also added, “We are proud to support the global development of Symbiogenesis as we continue our work to make Animoca Brands Japan the web3 gateway between Japan and the rest of the world.”
