Free-to-play extraction shooter and treasure hunt game Planet-X, has announced its partnership with the XAI Foundation, a contributor to the gaming-focused blockchain network XAI, to integrate Planet-X’s unique “hunt, extract, win” gameplay into the XAI blockchain ecosystem.

In Planet-X, players will compete in live treasure hunts to find hidden chests filled with real-world prizes, such as a Tesla Cybertruck, and in-game currency.

Additionally, this integration will allow for the tokenization of its digital assets and allow players to trade assets globally through the upcoming X Armoury marketplace using Gallax ($GLX).

What is Planet-X?

Planet-X is a mobile title that combines elements of an extraction shooter with a treasure hunt experience where players compete in live treasure hunts to win real-world prizes and in-game currency. Since its closed beta phase, Planet-X has awarded over $50,000 in prizes to its players.

The game offers two types of treasure chests: common yellow chests containing X-Tokens—the in-game currency—and rare red chests with both X-Tokens and instant prize wins. X-Tokens can be redeemed in the X-Vault for various prizes, with worldwide delivery available for free.

To participate in a hunt, players need a free ‘hunt pass’ to join a hunt, obtainable on a first-come, first-serve basis within the game app. Whilst the game is free to play, it features optional in-game purchases such as gems.

The game will soon be available for open beta on iOS and Android devices through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
