What is Exverse?

Founded in 2021 by Nikita Uriupin and led by CEO Ooi Fei Hoong, Exverse is a free-to-play, AAA first-person shooter that leverages blockchain technology to bring a new dimension to gaming.

Built on Unreal Engine 5, the game prioritizes competitive gameplay, high-quality graphics, and an advanced physics engine, delivering an experience that goes beyond typical web3 games.

Exverse’s universe is divided into three main planets:

    • Battle Planet focuses on player-versus-player (PvP) modes, such as free-for-all, capture the flag, and team deathmatch.
    • Social Planet allows players to socialize, create and manage guilds, and participate in exclusive events.
    • Quest Planet offers player-versus-environment (PvE) activities, including raids and missions, designed for both individual and team play.

The game also features several game modes, offering players a taste of Exverse’s competitive mechanics. Key modes include:

    • Player-vs-player (PvP): Features classic first-person shooter modes like free-for-all, capture the flag, and team deathmatch, where players can engage in high-octane, fast-paced battles.
    • Player-vs-environment (PvE): Includes team-based gameplay where players fight against AI-controlled enemies. Modes like Horde Rush challenge players to survive waves of enemies, while Raids allow clans to work together to defeat a global boss for rewards.
    • Horde Rush: A mode where players face increasingly difficult waves of enemies, earning higher rewards the longer they survive.
    • Raids: Clan-based missions where players take on a global boss, with rewards based on the damage inflicted over a weekly cycle.

Economy and Tokenomics

Exverse’s economy is driven by its $EXVG token.

Players will use the token to enter matches, purchase premium cosmetics, and participate in other in-game transactions. With a fixed supply of 400 million, $EXVG will support the game’s expansion whilst maintaining value through a burning mechanism.

The in-game currency, $EXVS, can only be earned by playing the game, allowing players to acquire assets such as skins and season passes. Rewards are also tied to performance, with the top 10% of players in each game mode earning additional $EXVG and NFTs.

What can we expect from the playtest?

The playtest, available for a limited time on the Epic Games Store, invites players to experience Exverse’s various game modes.

Popular first-person shooter concepts such as area domination and team deathmatch will be available on the Battle Planet, whilst the Quest Planet allows players to team up for PvE missions, including Horde Rush and boss raids.

The playtest is designed to provide a thorough preview of the game’s mechanics and give the development team feedback ahead of its full release.
