Mobile shoot ’em up blockchain-based game Zoppel: The Legend of Furiax is set to launch its alpha testing phase on December 15.

The game is the first release from a partnership between Skale Labs—the developer of the Ethereum-based Skale network—and blockchain gaming platform Sequence.

As part of the collaboration, Sequence’s Builder toolset is being integrated with Skale’s Nebula mainnet, which aims to streamline the development process for blockchain games.

What is Zoppel: Legend of Furiax?

Zoppel: The Legend of Furiax is a vertical spaceship shooter set in an original science fiction universe.

Players navigate through intense action gameplay whilst exploring a narrative-driven setting. The game is part of a broader intellectual property that includes a graphic novel scheduled for release in January.

Developed for Android and iOS, Zoppel combines traditional mobile gaming with blockchain integration and is the first in a series of blockchain-supported games planned by Skale Labs and Sequence.

What to expect from the Alpha Testing?

The alpha version of Zoppel will be available to players on both Android and iOS, allowing early adopters to experience the game whilst providing valuable feedback for further development.

The alpha test will focus on gameplay mechanics and initial blockchain functionality. Additional features and content will be rolled out over time, with the full release expected to follow after refinements based on player input.

Following Zoppel, other blockchain games are also expected to launch on the Skale network, including Sheertopia, The Last Monarchy, Netherak Demons, and Olderfall.
