What is F1® Delta Time?

Hong Kong-based Animoca Brands and Formula 1 are the masterminds behind the blockchain game F1 Delta Time. The game uses NFTs and fungible tokens for its collectable items which players can then use in-game. Another key point is that it centres around the collection and trading of unique cars, drivers and components.

Initially, 5 unique NFTs of the Apex rarity level were made available. These were all sold in 2019 and 2020. Eventually, in 2020, F1 Delta Time started selling collections of NFTs combined in its “Crates” – which contain a randomised mixture of collectables.

The New Year Grand Prix

Yesterday, F1 Delta Time announced their New Year Grand Prix, which will run for 1 week, starting on 27 December 2021 and ending at 23:59:59 (UTC) on 2 January 2022.

This New Year Grand Prix comprises 3 circuits. Players can compete in any weather. However, only the best times from each circuit will be used. These circuits are, namely, Formula 1® Autodromo Nazionale Monza, Formula 1® Shanghai International Circuit and Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix™

Players will be awarded in accordance to their performance. Weekly final standings for REVV Pools and Key prizes will be based on players’ best performances in any of the weathers across the three selected tracks. Overall, there are 12 trophies and 60,000 REVV tokens per season per week up for grabs.

F1 Delta Time’s New Year Grand Prix follows the 7-week tournament that took place between September 6th and October 24th.
