Thunderbirds to the rescue!✈️

The Sandbox is proud to partner with the iconic British science fiction show: Thunderbirds! Created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, the show is most famous for its use of a filming technique called “Supermarionation”. Using marionettes and scale models to create a world never seen before on television.

Set in the 2060s, the show revolved around the adventures of “International Rescue,” a secret organisation dedicated to saving lives. Led by Jeff Tracy, the Tracy brothers piloted a fleet of five state of the art vehicles, “The Thunderbirds” through missions on land, sea, air and in space. The
International Rescue team also includes Brains, Tin Tin Kyrano, London Agent Lady Penelope and her driver and side-kick Parker.

To bring Thunderbirds: International Rescue Club to the metaverse, we’re working with Reality+(formally known as Reality Gaming Group), a British Web 3.0 company headquartered in the Web 3.0 and blockchain gaming space since 2017.

This collaboration is the first step in taking the world of International Rescue into the new generation with metaverse avatars, charity DAOs, NFT drops and Web 3.0 online experiences. F-A-B!

Thunderbirds was a fictional British television show about rescuing people in dire need. By using the power of the NFT community, The Sandbox and Reality+ are turning Thunderbirds: International Rescue Club into a real-world rescue organisation!

Sales of the VX avatars and other project elements will fund a charity DAO that will help people around the world. Thunderbirds: International Rescue Club will also develop into a full Web3 game in the future,
allowing users to send their Thunderbird NFTs off on missions to earn real-world prizes and airdrops.
