The Sandbox partners with SBS Contents Hub to create a metaverse space, “Running Man Park”

A virtual world for users to enjoy the missions from Running Man program

The Sandbox is partnering with SBS Contents Hub, a subsidiary of South Korean broadcasting station “SBS,” to bring popular media content to the metaverse. The collaboration between The Sandbox and SBS Contents Hub is expected to open up new possibilities for virtual world gaming and content creation.

As part of the partnership, The Sandbox will create a virtual space called “Running Man Park,” which is inspired by SBS’s popular variety show, Running Man. Fans of the show will be able to experience and enjoy game missions that were featured in the show.

This movement is part of SBS Contents Hub’s strategy to leverage its intellectual property and expand its business to new areas, while offering a unique experience to its fans. The Running Man Park will not only allow users to experience the show’s game missions in a virtual environment but also provide an opportunity for users to create and share their own content.

“We are excited to bring Running Man’s game missions to our metaverse and provide our users with an opportunity to experience it in a new way,” said Cindy Lee, The Sandbox Korea CEO. “We believe that by leveraging SBS’s popular global IP, our metaverse will become even more diverse and exciting.”

“This partnership with The Sandbox is just the beginning of our efforts to create new dimensions of user experience through metaverse and NFT business,” said Haedong Jin, Head of Content Business of SBS Contents Hub. “We look forward to providing users with a unique opportunity to create and share original content and engage with our IP in new ways.”

SBS Contents Hub plans to continue its collaboration with The Sandbox and explore new forms of metaverse and NFT businesses that allow users to become creators and share original content.
