MixMob, a gaming universe built on Solana, has secured the licensing rights to the Original Stormtrooper – and is set to bring the iconic design into their card-strategy racing game MixMob: Racer 1 via an exclusive NFT release.

First seen in 1977’s “Star Wars: A New Hope”, and crafted by renowned prop maker Andrew Ainsworth, the Original Stormtrooper marks the start of MixMob’s ambitious licensing strategy, with plans to acquire three more licenses across 2024.

The license will be utilised in a Original Stormtrooper MixBots drop, with details to be revealed soon.

What is MixMob: Racer 1?

MixMob: Racer 1 is a skill-based title where on-track racing meets card-slinging strategy.

Designed to appeal to all aspects of the web3 community – from hardcore gamers to stakers and supporters – they’ve been in development for several years, and have picked up steam in recent months following their MixBots release and $MXM token launch.

Official licensing plays a big part in MixMob’s future plans, with CEO Simon Vieira and Executive Producer Pavel Bains utilising their past experience in securing licenses for Peanuts, Warner Bros Kids, DreamWorks and more to make MixMob one to watch this year.

How can I acquire Original Stormtrooper MixBots?

Players will be able to purchase Original Stormtrooper MixBots, which mirror the licensed helmet and armor design, to race against other players in MixMob: Racer 1.

Full details of the sale will be revealed soon, but it is confirmed that early adopters of MixMob’s Gen0 Masks and Gen0 MixBots will get priority access to the drop.

Holders of Original Stormtrooper MixBots will receive a variety of enhancements and rewards yet to be revealed.
